The 2003 NetPro Elite 2000 Rafael Nadal Card #19 Card Graded Gem MT 10 and Auto Graded Gem MT 10 – Hand Signed Autograph - NO RESERVE
This is the rarest and most valuable Rafael Nadal Rookie Card there is. In 2003, NetPro began manufacturing tennis cards again for the first time in over a decade. Unlike Roger Federer and Serena Williams who both signed contracts with NetPro allowing their autographs in the set, Nadal did not. This meant NONE of Nadal’s 9 2003 NetPro Rookie Cards and 1 Italian 2003 Campioni Di Future Card (available in next lot!) had autographs. Nadal autographs first appeared in Netpro’s 2005 issue, not on his rookie cards. Since 2003, PSA has graded Nadal 2003 NetPro Cards (9) including the 2003 Campioni #50 card. This Nadal autograph rookie with a perfect 10/10 PSA Gem Mint grade is the rarest by far compared to both Federer and Serena Williams cards with established six-figure prices for tennis cards in both cases.
This card up for auction is one of only two of a grand total of over 8000 Nadal 2003 Nadal Rookie Cards with both the card and autograph graded perfect Gem Mint 10.
In 2021, a Roger Federer 2003 NetPro autograph card 1/25 graded 9.5 with a 10 autograph grade sold for almost $186,000. In 2022, a Serena Williams NetPro signed patch card, also from 2003, sold for more than $265,000. That card only had a card grade of PSA 8 with a Gem Mint 10 Autograph. By contrast, the presented Nadal card has a 10/10 card grade, with only 2 copies to exist.
