Roger Federer was at the absolute peak of his powers at the 2007 Australian Open. Federer was coming off the best year of his career in 2006 (and what many consider the best tennis season ever), was the ATP world number 1 and defending champion. Federer picked up where he left off on the previous year, putting on brutally dominant displays to put him into the quarterfinal without losing a set. In the quarterfinal, he had his first Grand Slam encounter with Novak Djokovic, and defeated him 6-2, 7-5, 6-3. In the semifinal he faced his US Open final opponent Andy Roddick, and crushed him 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. In the final, Federer played Fernando Gonzalez, who had dominated Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinal. Federer sealed the match 7-6(2), 6-4, 6-4, to give him his 10th Grand Slam and 3rd Australian Open title.

With the win, Federer became the first man to win a major without losing a set in 27 years, since Bjorn Borg in 1980. To date, this win by Federer is the only time in men's tennis history that a hard court Grand Slam has been won without losing a set. Wearing this shirt, Federer reached the pinnacle of tennis and achieved a level of dominance that may never be replicated.

Federer's match worn shirt has also been autographed by him, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Roger Federer Foundation.
