Carlos Alcaraz’s 2022 Umag Match Used Racket – Photomatched to Hamburg Semifinal & Umag Quarterfinal – Destroyed After Croatia Open Final Loss to Jannik Sinner

Before Carlos Alcaraz became the youngest World No. 1 in ATP history and a multi-time Grand Slam champion, he was already captivating the tennis world with his electric game and firebrand passion. This exact racket — now smashed — offers a powerful glimpse into that early fire.

Offered here is Carlos Alcaraz's match-used racket from the summer of 2022, a pivotal moment in his rapid ascent. Photomatched by Resolution to both the 2022 Hamburg Open Semifinal and the 2022 Croatia Open (Umag) Quarterfinal, this racket is a piece of Alcaraz's ascent to stardom during his breakout 2022 season.

What truly sets this racket apart is its dramatic ending. After falling in a tense three-set final to his great rival Jannik Sinner in the 2022 Croatia Open championship match, Alcaraz, privately  destroyed this very racket in frustration. The racket has a Babolat Customization Sticker reading "C. Alcaraz 2022-1 3", as well as a stringing sticker from the Croatia Open. That sticker reads "Croatia Open Umag Alcaraz 25.00 / 23.00 30/07/2022"; indicating 25 kg. string tension in the mains, 23 kg. in the crosses.

This is only the second photomatched Alcaraz racket to ever surface. An extraordinary addition to any modern tennis collection, this is a truly rare offering from the early career of a generational talent. The racket is accompanied by full Resolution Photomatching documentation.
