February 7th, 2020 was a fantastic day for tennis, as it was the date of Roger Federer's sixth and final edition of Match for Africa exhibition matches, organized to raise money for the Roger Federer Foundation. Since 2010, Federer competed in these exhibition matches which raised money to support childhood education in Africa. For this most special last edition, the Match for Africa was the Match in Africa; it was held in Cape Town, South Africa. Roger Federer wore this very Uniqlo match shirt during the record-breaking Match in Africa.
The Match in Africa exhibition included a doubles set, in which Roger Federer and Bill Gates defeated Rafael Nadal and South African native Trevor Noah. In the singles match, Federer faced his greatest rival Nadal for the final time ever. Federer defeated Nadal 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The event raised more than $3.5 million for charity, and broke the all-time attendance record for a tennis match with 51,954 spectators.
Federer's match worn Uniqlo shirt features a collar with South African colors. The shirt has also been autographed by him, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Roger Federer Foundation.
